Sealing a brief
When a draft becomes counsel, and why the wax is a person, not a setting.
Sealing is the only irreversible gesture in the fiction. Everything before it can return to the grove.
When to seal
Seal when a colleague could argue with the recommendation without the folder. If they still need the transcripts, keep weaving.
Who may seal
The named seat who sat. Not a guest. Not a model. Not a mailing list.
What sealing does not do
It does not publish to the internet. It does not mail the company. It marks the brief as counsel this person will defend. Shipping is a later, human act.
